One major news story making its way around Washington DC is that the Trump administration is going to cut federal work pension benefits going forward because their benefits have become unaffordable, i.e., the government is going broke.

Local congressional buffoon Gerald Connolly says Trump’s efforts to alter or reduce government workers benefits shows a lack of appreciation for their contribution and diminishes the value of their work on behalf of society.

Apologist of parasites

Go course, Connolly fails to distinguish between society and government.  Not surprisingly, most of the people who elected this political toady are government bureaucrats.  And not surprisingly, bureaucrats want to believe that service to government is service to country.  But our founding fathers did not share such a simplistic and homogenized view of the matter.

“Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil.”  Thomas Paine

However, Connolly and his ilk are just big government socialists, collectivists, and elitists.  Their ideas always spiral into the same historical abyss.  Government plunder, oppression, war, enslavement, death.  Occasionally they may protect home and country, but in the long ruin they do not preserve society, the destroy it.

Service to government is not service to society.  Society, in every age, always becomes the object of government plunder.  The people who run the agencies and apparatus of government depend upon taking by force, the resources accumulated by others.  These bureaucrats support this active theft while claiming service and sacrifice for the common welfare and the common good.  Government then doubles down by employing the “intellectual” and “chattering” classes to spew out rationale and justifications so liberties can be diminished, the boundaries of our freedoms can be constricted and government plunder can be concealed behind the veneer of morality.

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”  Patrick Henry

Rule of law, once a blessing, becomes an instrument of plunder and is used to protect the thieves from the people they plunder, people that make up the bulk of society.

It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder.  Frédéric Bastiat

In ancient Israel, Jesus ran into the same perversion of law.  The ruling teachers became more concerned with following the traditions of the elders and the commandments of men, leaving no place for justice, mercy and faithfulness, the very things that the law was to ensure.  He saw them obsess about small nit-picky rituals but neglect these weightier matters, hence they “strain out a gnat but swallow a camel”.

The rulers of his day, just like our government, divorced the purpose of law from its ritualistic and legalistic implementation.  Once purpose if forgotten, the law can be twisted into any shape the government wishes and used for any purpose government wishes.  Just another step to tyranny and democide.

Most estimates are higher (240-260 million).

Calling government bureaucrats “workers” or “employees” instead of parasites seems incorrect to me.  Government, not terrorists, are society’s biggest threat.

Their only hope is the one they never vote for.

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.  It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.”  William Pitt

Oppression breeds Rebellion.  The tyrant, whom in this day we call the “central planner”, has been around for a long time.  First tyrant may have been Nimrod (Gilgamesh) at the Tower of Babel.  The people of ancient Israel were warned against having a king in 1 Samuel 8 because of the loss of liberty, the expansion of the bureaucracy, the systemic plunder of resources, military buildup and wars and general oppression of all types.  We never learn our lesson it seems.

The citizens in America’s big cities vote for the same politicians who militarize the police and have changed police culture into a standing army ready to terrorize its own citizens.  How else have central planners (tyrants) been able to control nations and cities?  Nothing has changed.

The citizens in America’s big cities vote for the same politicians who regular and tax small businesses to death, destroying the middle class and job creation.  Even cigarettes cost to much.  Ask Eric Garner.  “Over half of the price of cigarettes in New York City is taxes, so you’ve criminalized behavior that really the police shouldn’t be involved with to begin with,” Rand Paul

People are beginning to realize that the apparatus of government is costly. But what they do not know is that the burden falls inevitably on them.”   Frédéric Bastiat

The people of Baltimore voted for Barack Obama because he was “black” but slave masters come in all skin colors.  They voted for Obama who was nothing more then a collectivist and Marxist ideologue, knowing little more than manipulation, theft and plunder, enriching the coffers of government until everybody is equal, that is to say, impoverished.   Except them of course.

“Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone.”  Frédéric Bastiat

The citizens in America’s big cities vote for the same politicians who must tax everything not nailed down in order to pay for the promises they cannot keep, in order to pay for the government’s ever expanding role in “managing” society, in order to pay for the bureaucracy that is needed to run the inefficient and bloated apparatus of government, and in order to turn police swat teams into Nazi brown shirts.

Rejection of liberalism opened my mind, which I was told by other liberals that it was already opened.

Collectivism, Statism, Socialism, Marxism, and its precursor “democracy” all lead to the same end.  Plunder, murder, destruction.

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.  John Adams – on why were are a constitutional republic

They think they vote for change yet they vote for the same fools over and over.  They vote for handouts instead of principles.  What does one expect when government schools teach them that government is savior and that it is the source of virtue and can satisfy ever need.  Just more lies.

Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master” Dwight D. Eisenhower

They rebel against the tyrants they put in power.  They do not see that the police are simply the extension of the arm of government that seeks to control the citizen and needed to enforce the countless laws that are poured out upon them by the bureaucrats hired by the very politicians they voted for.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” Jesus, John 10:10a

“Government is a disease masquerading as its own cure.”  Bob Lefevre

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

“I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

As Bastiat pointed out in “The Law”, If government wants to run everything, control everything, manage everything, take responsibility for everything, they must also take all the blame for everything.

Our government (USA) is just one of the many biblical “beasts”.  By “beast” I mean what the scripture means, that is, an Empire.

The US Government has been illegitimate for quite some time, that is, illegal when measured against its own founding and governing documents.  Very early in its own history it attempted to exceed its constitutional confines and expand beyond its enumerated powers.  Particularly in the 20th century it has succeeded spectacularly in becoming a rouge entity, a vast plundering, murdering, destructive mechanism while at the same time dressing itself in white hat and robes.  Truly a “white washed sepulchral”.

Yet today, most of its citizens remain comforted in their ignorant belief that “we” are the “good guys” making the world safe for democracy, holding terrorism at bay and elevating the standard of living for everyone around the globe.  All the while the government has plundered the world through debt (destroying the middle class in the process); terrorizing its own citizens through militarizing the police; stealing directly from the people via taxation, fines, regulations, asset forfeiture; demonizing groups within society; and demonizing foreign leads as pretext to justifying wars.  Just like the devil, it steals, then murders, then destroys.

But tyranny is always clever,  so they hire scholars and award grants to professors who will rationalize and justify their evil deeds by cloaking them in nobility.  The very socialistic instructors at our institutions of higher learning apply the white wash themselves.  The government parades them as experts.  After all, we all listen to experts.

So lets rate our institutions shall we?  These are just my opinions of course.  And who am I?  Nobody.  Just another citizen with a bulls-eye on his head and not comfortable with it being there.  Of course your list may be different or use this one and add to it as you wish.

Central Banks and the member banks who own them…Yes JP Morgan, Goldman-Sachs, Deutsche bank, Rothchilds, Rockefellars, BIS, IMF, etc., this includes you.  For setting up this ponzi scheme to rob the peoples of the world of their wealth and resources.  For making them pay for their enslavement through usury (interest) by substituting paper currency for real money.  For creating the necessity for income taxes (IRS in the USA) so the central banks can pay their stockholders dividends.  For financing both sides of every war and conflict.  For allowing politicians to borrow vast sums of currency so promises can be made that cannot be kept and votes can be bought and in the end stiff the people with the bill.  For putting love of money above love for your neighbor.  You are the first leg of the triad, the master thieves, that make possible the murder and mankind and the destruction of the wealth that has taken people lifetimes to build.

Central banks are a heinous, evil anti-freedom and anti-capitalist concoction that is only enabled through the violence (laws) of government. And they exist solely as an extra hidden tax (inflation) and to keep insolvent governments operating longer than they otherwise would. – Jeff Berwick

How Municipalities and Police screw you from Liberty Blitzkrieg’s Michael Krieger

And while I do not have a lot of respect for the Washington Post, they had a very good 6 part video report calling for the end of asset forfeiture by thieves we call police, judges and magistrates.

In the days preceding and following the American revolution, men and women gave their lives for the idea of a nation based upon liberty and freedom, free from the arbitrary and fiat rule of tyrants and kings.  The severe constraints that our founding fathers placed upon the new government of the United States was meant to safeguard those freedoms.  The mechanism was the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Power was divided between three branches of government.  The individual States and their localities had the lions share of power and were meant to prevent the always possible usurpation of power by the federal government.  The laws was designed solely to prevent injustice such as the plunder of private property by governments at all levels.  This allowed individuals the freedom to navigate their own way, manage their property as they saw fit, and have the liberty to pursue purposes and dreams.

Law does not serve that purpose anymore.  Instead it attempts to insure equality of outcomes called by the Marxist term “social justice” rather that prevent injustice.  But this is an impossible task because one must rob, plunder or extort by force the resources of one group to re-allocate it to another.  This is how votes are always bought.  It is how sociopathic politicians stay in power.

bastiat-quote-picture

Instead of concern for injustice, the law is now used to manage and regulate the actions of people.  To do this, people must have their options (freedoms) limited and forced into compliance by fines, incarceration, and when necessary, violence upon person and property.  It takes a lot of resources to manage people but the government, having no resources of its own must of necessity turn to plunder.

I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”
Thomas Jefferson

With this change in the purpose of law and by slow and small steps, the law has been transformed into and instrument of plunder.  The chief user of this instrument is the federal government.  To be sure, the banks and the corporations are also behind this, but it is government that provides the muscle for this axis of evil.

So what is the myth?  It is simply the belief that those that work and sacrifice for the good of the government are doing so in the service of their country.  They believe that their labor and contributions are for the country their love.  It is not.  Their sacrifices are for the government, not the country, not the welfare of the citizen who is plundered every April 15th, who is regulated so that the cost of doing business is no longer profitable, who must play the debt game designed by bankers and enforced by these same bureaucrats to make certain the tyrannical empire of the petrodollar endures forever because their livelihood depends upon it.

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”  Patrick Henry

So ubiquitous has service to government been confused with service to country that to most they are one in the same.  They are not.  They are not even close.  The bureaucracies produce few goods that one can purchase and provide no service one wishes to pay for.  The use bureaucrats have is solely because our government have shackled the once free citizens with a collective compliance and debt slavery without which the bureaucrat and the agencies they work for would have little use.  Their need is artificial, required for the operation of the great machine of empire to plunder the people and intimidate the nations.

Bastiat-quote

The nation born of the idea of free men has transformed itself into the tyranny of Ancient Rome.  Breads and Circuses (welfare and entertainment), endless wars to preserve empire (National Security, “Gladio”), and currency debasement (Quantitative Easing, money printing).  The government’s bureaucratic armies run a propaganda machine (unemployment rate, inflation rate, economic recovery), control markets (DJIA, Gold and Silver, S&P), and have a spying apparatus (NSA, etc.) what would be the envy of any fascist government.  Instead of securing the blessings liberty they have their finger in every pie to manage every move and have laws on the books the citizen doesn’t even know about so they can be threatened or removed as needed.

Sadly, the average over-educated yet witless bureaucrat still believes service to his government is service to the country.  This is how we are destroying ourselves.

InternetRegulation

“President Obama’s plan marks a monumental shift toward government control of the Internet. It gives the FCC the power to micromanage virtually every aspect of how the Internet works,” he said. “The plan explicitly opens the door to billions of dollars in new taxes on broadband… These new taxes will mean higher prices for consumers and more hidden fees that they have to pay.”  FCC commissioner Ajit Pai

It is not a question.  The answer is obvious.  It is government.  It has always been government.  Not religion, not the plague.  By the numbers governments plunder vastly more, kill if you resist plunder in inconceivable amounts, and lie to justify and conceal their actions.  Just murder of its own citizens is over 100 million in the twentieth century alone.

Now take lying for example.  The purpose of their propaganda is to establish the moral high ground needed to rationalize their actions.  As a result they often pass laws to legalize such actions.  Hence Bastiat’s warning penned long ago…

It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder.  Frédéric Bastiat – The LAW

In the USA, we don’t have a “ministry of propaganda” like they did in Nazi Germany.  You can’t call it that in today’s world.  It would offend the delicate sensibilities of the politically corrected and conditioned masses.   So instead we in the USA have government agencies like the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that serve the same purpose.  Agencies that have no constitutional right to exist at all, by the way.  But I digress.

Governments realize that in order for propaganda to work it must remove competing “voices”, thus is must control the flow of information lest it’s destructive evil inner workings be exposed.  The very young US government passed the “Alien and Sedition Acts” signed into law by John Adams (of all people) in 1798.  Regardless of its stated purpose (increasing national security), it was used to crush dissent.  It cost Adams re-election and all but one of these heinous acts expired during Jefferson’s term in office.  The remaining one was used to round up Japanese, Germany and Italian immigrants during WWII.

Since the Internet, all governments have seen an increase in moral and political opposition to their schemes.  This has lead to many unwanted disclosures like the CIA’s operation “Gladio”, the US and NATO behind the situation in the Ukraine (and blaming it on Russia), perpetual US wars to maintain the petrodollar and US hegemony.  All of which are mere tips of the iceberg.

People often think of propaganda as spewing lies to convince the populous of the righteousness of the government’s cause.  That is not as clearly understood it the crushing of dissent .  Here we conjure up images of Gestapo breaking down someones door and arresting the residents who then disappear or are found murdered like “Gray State” film maker David Crowley and family.  But these kind of things are only employed in the most extreme cases.

The State (government) would prefer to use the law to suppress dissent.  So the first amendment to the constitution has to be set aside and overcome.   Currently the media is controlled by 6 huge corporations (Time Warner, Walt Disney, Viacom, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., CBS Corporation and NBC Universal).  So they are not a problem for the government.  However the internet is quite another thing.

The Internet is a real problem for government because more and more people are leaving the matrix and listening to alternative media.  Some of it good and some of it bad.  The internet is where you will find that people are free to express opinions and ask questions that are not given to them by FOX News or CNBC. You see, a good citizen, according to government, is one who is uninformed.  Good citizens are like cattle, never questioning White House talking points or BLS employment numbers or GDP numbers or the inflation rate.

Another small step towards tyranny

Another small step towards tyranny

So, enter the FEC and FCC.  The FEC will attack this issue via “to much money in politics”, “campaign finance regulations” and full disclosure as justification.  Now mind you the FEC is an unconstitutional (and therefore illegal) organization of unelected bureaucrats wishing to expand their control over the last bastion of free speech and decent in the once free west.

The FCC will play the Net Neutrality card again (this is the third try), the bastard child of FDR’s 1934 Communications act that gave rise to the “fairness doctrine”. It is spun as big corporations wanting to charge higher fees for deluxe services and I’m sure they would love to.  However, our bankrupt government, wants to, nay, needs to, stick its finger in the revenue pie.  It can smell the gravy.

Nothing good will come of it except to strengthen the power of the State, reduce IP Provider competition, raise costs (they have to pay all those regulators, lawyers and bureaucrats somehow) and silence descent.  After all, something has to be done about the Drudge Report, The Dollar Vigilante, Zero Hedge, the Economic Collapse Blog, Miles Franklin, Infowars.com, Financial Survival Network, Liberty Blitzkrieg, Of Two Minds, King World News, Paul Craig Roberts and David Stockman, etc, etc, etc.

TSA to Arrest Anyone Charged with any Crime trying to Come or Leave – including taxes … The border is closing rapidly. First it was FATCA hunting Americans with any assets overseas whatsoever. Now just two days after taking charge of the committee chairing the House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing, U.S. Rep. John Katko introduced two bills. He is looking to effectively close the borders using terrorism as the excuse as always to hunt down Americans. Katko is a former federal prosecutor. So he knows precisely what he is doing writing a law that is so broad, that anyone suspected of a crime cannot leave the country. This is any crime. Keeping gold in a safe deposit box is money laundering carrying up to 25 years in prison. – Martin Armstrong

As the US government becomes more desperate to fund its vast welfare and military apparatus, the search for revenue is becoming ever more invasive. See the full article at The Daily Bell. Transforming the TSA from air safety to any suspected crime. I hope you don’t have gold in a safety deposit box. If you do, you must be laundering money. Your arrest may be eminent.
